- How is FinishStrong different from OnePrep?
- OnePrep is a free question bank with topic filters; FinishStrong is a learning system with a real adaptive engine (SM-2 spaced repetition + 3PL Item Response Theory + Bayesian Knowledge Tracing). OnePrep tells you what's wrong; FinishStrong tells you when to review and which question targets your edge.
- Why is FinishStrong free?
- Mission first: results over monetization. The team's bet is that great learning outcomes earn the right to charge later, not the other way around. There is no paywall today.
- Is the question quality really better than competitors?
- Every question goes through a peer-review pipeline (generation by one model, verification by an independent model). The current corpus is 1,720 hand-curated questions with full College Board metadata. Reviews of OnePrep and Acely consistently flag 'AI slop' (mathematically wrong or stylistically off questions) — that's the exact failure mode we built the peer-review pipeline to prevent.
- Will FinishStrong work without setting up a College Board account?
- Yes. FinishStrong is independent. You can also import practice-test results from College Board's Bluebook to seed your skill mastery, but it's optional.
- Does FinishStrong work for the digital SAT?
- Yes — built specifically for the digital SAT format, including all 7 question types (multiple choice, free response, swipe-binary, tap-error, sort-order, match-pairs, fill-blank).
